About
Trumbull County Educational Service Center
Qualifications
The qualities and characteristics desired for the individual who will assume the administrative leadership of the Southington Local School District are, in part identified, below. The Superintendent will:
Demonstrate personal integrity and commitment to the Southington community and schools.
Demonstrate organization and efficiency in serving as the district's chief executive officer.
Demonstrate knowledge in budgeting and school finance.
Be responsive to community concerns and proactively seek community feedback to improve the overall quality of the district.
Communicate with staff, parents, students and community members in an effective manner.
Communicate effectively on both public and private levels.
Possess excellent oral, written and listening skills.
Possess a sense of vision as an educational leader.
Demonstrate experience implementing successful programs.
Work cooperatively with a management team.
Requirements
The Board of Education will consider applications from individuals who:
Have experience as an effective superintendent or building principal. Experience as a superintendent is preferred.
Hold an Ohio superintendent's certificate or license (or satisfactory evidence of eligibility).
Contract:
The board intends to offer a 200 day contract.
Timeline:
This timeine may be modified at the discretion of the Board.

April 17, 2012

Late May - Early June 2012
Employment Begins:
No later than August 1, 2012
