Season Dates: October 15, 2012 - February 28, 2013
Duties: Lead the JV Dance Team under the direction of the Varsity coaches. Assist the Varsity program after the JV season ends. Work collaboratively with the varsity head coach with all aspects of the Spring Lake Park Dance Team Program including but not limited to setting up practices, competitions, and schedules for the program; supervision of athletes at practices and competitions; arranging team transportation; working with booster club and regular meetings with other coaches to evaluate goals of the overall program. Must be able to adjust work schedule for practices and competitions.
Preferences: A BA/BS Degree and MN Teacher License with coaching certificate OR equivalent and previous experience working with high school age students. Previous experience as a studio and/or high school dancer and/or coach.
Qualifications: A strong background in high school and/or studio dance competition as a participant an/or coach is required. Strong work ethic and dedication to furthering the benefits of participation in co-curricular activities. Leadership skills including but not limited to organization, vision, motivation, and conflict resolution. Ability to work with student athletes, parents, staff, and community.
