QUALIFICATIONS

          Required:

·       Valid Illinois Initial or Standard teaching certificate

          Desirable:

·       Experience teaching primary-aged children

·       Knowledge of current strategies and research in developmentally appropriate practices for primary grades

·       Willingness to team and collaborate with other staff members

·       Knowledge and experience with teaching students with a variety of abilities and learning styles, including special education and inclusion students

General:

·       Able to teach a diverse student body

·       Able to collaborate with colleagues to benefit student instruction

·       A child-centered professional

·       A high degree of energy, flexibility and initiative

·       Well developed interpersonal skills
