Position Opportunity:
Under the direction of the
Supervisor of MTSS/RTI and in accordance with the
established policies and procedures of Ingham
Intermediate School District, the Technical Assistance
Partner will provide direction, guidance and support to
Ingham ISD, regional ISD's/local districts and district
implementation planning teams as assigned by
MiBLSi. In addition the TAP will be responsible
for developing multiple levels of competency within the
system to implement, with fidelity, a durable
integrated behavior and reading MTSS/RtI model as
designed through the State of Michigan MiBLSi
project. This position will involve travel
to regional meetings and also state meetings and
events.
Qualifications:
·
Master's Degree with an educational
emphasis to include the fields of curriculum, instruction
or related school support area, such as a School
Psychologist or School Social Worker.
·
A minimum of three years of
successful K - 12 teaching experience or a minimum of
three years of successful experience in a school support
role, such as a School Psychologist or School Social
Worker.
·
One to three years successful
experience supporting the implementation of MiBLSi at a
district and/or building level.
·
Demonstrated ability and skills
application to deepen stakeholder knowledge and develop
capacity necessary to support regional and district RtI
implementation through leadership with professional
development, data management, and implementation
science.
·
Fluency and skill applications with
the measures, reports, and data systems used to support
all tiers within an integrated reading and behavior
MTSS/RtI model.
·
Three to five years of experience
developing and providing professional learning through
multiple formats.
·
Demonstrated knowledge and practical
experience with the implementation of the Michigan's
Continuous School Improvement Process in a leadership
capacity.
·
Ability to develop, organize and
meet timelines for completion of projects, tasks and
activities.
·
Demonstrated ability and experience
with management of multiple projects.
·
Demonstrated ability and interest to
engage in continued professional learning to enhance
individual skill set related to this position.
·
Ability to effectively communicate
and collaborate with other state, ISD, and local
administrators and staff (eg. TAPS, MiBLSi Project
Directors, Professional Learning Team, Evaluation Team
and other MiBLSi project staff) to ensure and maintain
the high quality of the work of the project through use
of accountability systems.
·
Demonstrated ability to accept
feedback from stakeholders, colleagues and supervisors in
order to continuously improve practices related to job
responsibilities.

Demonstrated skills and ability to
collect, analyze and use data and research within a
strategic planning and continuous improvement process
and/ or intervention planning to improvement
implementation of systems.
·
Demonstrated skills to communicate
effectively with a variety of audiences and an ability to
gain cooperation of others internally and
externally.
Performance
Responsibilities:
·
Provide assistance in establishing
infrastructures to support MTSS/RtI
implementation.
·
Develop, deepen and guide the
learning around MTSS/RtI systems and practices of
District Leadership Teams, MTSS/RtI Coordinators, and key
regional stakeholders
·
Coordinate, lead, and provide
technical assistance to regional MTSS/RtI Coordinators
and support regional trainers around local professional
development activities before, during and after
training.
·
Provide support to regional
stakeholders to develop, deepen and guide the learning
and practices of coaches.
·
Guide the appropriate use of student
outcome, program quality and fidelity data at the ISD,
district, and building level.
·
Apply learning from monthly TAP
professional learning meetings to regional work.
·
Seek out and engage in opportunities
that extend current knowledge and supports area of
weakness.
·
Monitor spending and allocate
funding appropriately based on regional needs and MiBLSi
project direction.
·
Serve as a critical feedback loop
within the MiBLSi project (collaborating with the
Professional Learning Unit and Evaluation Unit) as well
as between the MiBLSi project and local staff, trainers,
and coaches to further develop and refine MiBLSi content
and practices.
·
Receive feedback from and provide
feedback to Technical Assistance Coordinator (TAC) in an
effort to engage in problem solving cycles to inform and
adjust technical assistance as well as develop a
comprehensive Individual Development Plan.
·
Provides reports and information to
MiBLSi Technical Assistance Coordinator as well as
follows up on requests and direction from TAC.
Attends required MiBLSi TAP meetings and
professional development.
·
Other duties as assigned by
supervisors.
Working Conditions:
·
Will work in a building on the
Ingham ISD campus. Will also work in other
environments such as schools and businesses.
This is a grant funded
position. There are no assurances that funds
will be available beyond June 30, 2013.
