JOB
TITLE:
Computer Services Technician
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.
Associates degree in Computer Science or related
field, or high school graduate with equivalent work
experience.
2.
Minimum of two (2) years experience with
personal computers, peripherals, Windows operating systems and
various applications.
3.
Experience in repair and maintenance of personal
computers and other electronic equipment.
4.
Experience with Microsoft Windows and Unix
operating systems.
5.
Ability to communicate well with all levels of
employees.
6.
Proven writing and oral communications
skills.
7.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as
the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS
TO:
District Network/PC Technician
PERFORMANCE
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.
Provides maintenance, installation, upgrades,
relocation and repairs of computer hardware and
software.
2.
Answer routine questions and assist in solving
problems related to the operation of personal computers,
networks, KVM consoles, software, and peripherals.
3.
Use Asset Navigator to record accurate records
of completed tasks.
4.
Assist in recommending new computer equipment
and upgrades for existing computer equipment.
5.
Performs as backup to other technicians within
the district when required.
6.
Maintain and troubleshoot problems with building
scanners, computer projection devices and network
printers.
7.
Provide maintenance and installation of
networking within the areas of:

Ports in closets
·
Printers
·
Network wiring with
category 5e cable and fiber-optics
·
Trouble shooting WAN
between all district buildings
8.
Assist with inventory control of parts, supplies
and cartridges.
9.
Deployment of software images throughout the
District using Altiris.
10.
Perform related tasks deemed necessary by the
District Network/PC Technician and/or the Director of Computer
Services.

EMPLOYMENT: Full
Time Position 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM - Monday through
Friday
