French Instructor - One-Year Leave of Absence Position

Responsibilities

• Teach 9-12 grade French
• Will be directly responsible to the building principal
• Must perform all responsibilities, classroom and supervisory, in a professional manner as expected of all district teachers

Qualifications

• Possess or qualify for an Illinois High School Teaching Certificate and meet the ISBE minimum credit hour requirements in subjects taught
• Ability to stimulate students and staff to actively participate in the learning process
• Sincere interest in young adults and a philosophy of humaneness as an educator
• Ability to work closely with other staff members

Salary

• Salary based on Teacher contract

The School

• McHenry High Schools provide a comprehensive education for approximately 2,550 students
• West Campus educates approximately 1,600 students, with a staff of 112
• Class scheduling is traditional with seven, 50-minute periods and a 30-minute lunch
• Approximately 75% of our graduates attend post-secondary educational or vocational institutions
• Two four-year (9-12 grade) high school campuses a mile and a half apart
