Job Summary:
To plan, implement, direct and
maintain the District's health and wellness initiatives; following the CDC’s
Consolidated School Health Model including : health education, physical
education, health services, counseling and mental health, staff wellness,
community and interagency involvement, food and nutrition, safe schools and
community, and academic opportunity. To
evaluate and provide recommendations regarding health and wellness-
initiatives, activities and student education efforts; identifying and securing
alternate funding sources to support program needs; and assisting school
administrators and teachers’ efforts to
improve student attendance, prevent drop-outs, and improve academic achievement.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Valid Louisiana
Registered Nursing License or Master’s Degree in Public Health, Behavioral Health
Care Management or a related field
Salary Range: $67,007 - $106,893 depending on years of experience
