Bilingual Educational Support Staff
LOCATION: Cottonwood Elementary
START DATE: 2012 - 2013 school year
REQUIREMENTS: Must enjoy working with children! Fluency in English and Spanish, and ability to reach “Highly Qualified” status (48+ college credit hrs. or passing score on state approved exam).
WORK SCHEDULE: 183 days per year, 7 hours per day
DUTIES: Assists in translating/interpreting verbal and written communication(s) for the purpose of assisting students, teachers, parents and/or community members in communicating effectively.
Tutors bilingual students individually or in groups, in various related assignment for the purpose of reinforcing learning concept.
Translates/interprets documents and materials for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate parties.
