9:00-2:00 (The field trip will cause one day to end at 3:30-4:00)
Those hired for the Young Writer's Camp will also be expected to attend a planning meeting in June. Young Writer's Camp employees will also be expected to work to compile the anthology after camp hours.
Locations:
R.K. Smith Middle School and Destrehan High School.
Positions available and salaries:
Teacher: $1,200
Teachers develop and implement lessons that allow students to engage with many different genres and modes of writing.
Note:
If you are a current employee of St. Charles Parish Public School, when you navigate to Page # 4 titled "Position Desired" only select the position listed under Young Writer's Camp (Teacher). If you select any of the other positions listed, the application will be much longer (possibly up to sixteen pages). The Young Writer's Camp application should not take longer than one to two minutes to complete.
Priority will be given to certified teachers currently employed by St. Charles Parish Public Schools.
Priority will also be given to those having attended Writing Project summer training.
