Position Purpose: Maintain building in a state of cleanliness and order.

Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
· Knowledge of standard tools, materials, methods and practices involved in building maintenance
· Must be able to follow oral and/or written instructions
· Evidence of an understanding of the school culture and environment, and a commitment to carrying out the vision, mission, and belief statements of District 112
· Personal dependability and responsibility
· Possess a valid and appropriate level of the State of MN Boilers license or obtain within a reasonable timeline
· Able to work independently
· Possess a valid State of Minnesota driver’s license
Physical Requirements: - Lift 70 lbs waist height occasionally
- Lift 50 lbs to chest high regularly
- Extended walking
- Ability to work with cleaning chemicals
- Must be in good general health
Preferred Qualifications: - Previous experience in cleaning and building maintenance
Summary: Under general supervision, perform cleaning tasks and operation of various types of cleaning equipment to care for and maintain assigned buildings and related facilities; and perform related work as required.
Compensation and Yearly Duration of Employment: This position is posted as a full-time (40 hours per week), twelve (12) month position. *Starting salary for such a position is $16.42 per hour. In addition, the pay includes an additional $0.10/hr for each level of boilers license when licenses are obtained. Eligible for benefits as negotiated with Union Local 70 and District 112. This position is eligible for overtime and comp time.
