Qualifications:

  • Valid Colorado Principal License
  • Documented positive experience working with a culturally and socially diverse community
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with elementary and secondary academic content standards, assessment, and professional development
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated strong technology skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing with a variety of audiences
  • Prior experience at the elementary level

Preferred:

  • Elementary teaching experience
  • Trained or willing to be trained in Positive Behavior and Olweus Bully Prevention Programs
  • Trained or willing to be trained in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze academic progress data
  • Demonstrated curriculum leadership abilities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Special Education processes
  • Prior experience as a School Assessment Coordinator for state and district assessments
  • Completion of NISL training

Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitate weekly team meetings with classroom and specialty teachers
  2. Supervise and evaluate certified and classified staff
  3. Attend Elementary Principals' meetings
  4. Monitor and address discipline issues
  5. Participate in monthly PBS Core Team meetings
  6. Plan and facilitate site professional development activities
  7. Supervise extracurricular and night activities
  8. Coordinate CSAP testing at the site
  9. Attend Special Education staffings, REI's, 504's, and other conferences as the principal's designee
  10. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal
