Description:
The SPARK Program is looking for enthusiastic adults to work with school-age children during the hours of 7:00-9:00AM and 3:00-6:00PM.


Job Summary:

The SPARK Program is a before and after school progam designed to provide quality care for school-age children during early morning and after school hours.  These programs offer developmentally age-appropriate hands-on materials that reinforce academic skills.  Additional activities include recreation and sports, arts and crafts, games, reading, music, films, time to finish school assignments, as well as free time for the children to pursue individual interests. 

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have been awarded a high school diploma.
  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English.

    Working Conditions:
    District 62 has approximately 5000 students in grades preK-8 in 8 elementary schools, 2 middle schools and 1 year-around, K-8 school.  Positions will be available at North, South, or Terrace elementary schools.
