The ACES Professional Development and School Improvement unit seeks a full time Educational Specialist to work with teachers, administrators, and school leaders from ACES member districts. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of current educational reform initiatives and a proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver effective professional development. Must be able to assist with curriculum development, promote effective teaching strategies, and provide on-going coaching in the areas of teacher evaluation and implementation of Core Standards.
Applicants must have experience with frameworks for teacher evaluation and implementation of PLC structures in schools. A familiarity with the concepts relating to school turnaround and the development of Core Standards resources, and technology integration is also desired.
CT Certification English 7-12 (015) required; Intermediate Administration (092) desired.
