duties and responsibilities

The High School
Cheerleader Sponsor will:
1.
Plan and organize methods for selection of cheerleaders.
2.
Organize
cheerleading tryouts. Pick judges, tabulate scores and make
announcements of the girls selected.
3.
Organize and
supervise practices.
4.
Attend
football games at which the cheerleaders are
cheerleading.
5.
Schedule after
school practices so that each squad will have at least two
practices a week.
6.
Attend
cheerleading clinics when possible.
7.
Continue same
practice schedule during basketball season.
8.
Attend all
basketball games and as many wrestling meets as squad can
manage.
9.
Both squads
participate in money making activities to help defray costs of
emblems, chenille letters, cheerleading camp, etc.
10.
Check in uniforms at the end of the season and see to
replacement for uniforms which are worn out.
11.
Be
responsible for the girls, their attendance at the games, their
behavior while in uniforms, seeing to their being on time,
etc.
