Summary of Duties
To assist in serving of quality food to students and staff in a quick and pleasant manner.
Qualifications/Requirements
Must posses a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
Assists with quantity food preparation.
Assists with daily cleaning of all kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and sanitary conditions are met.
Sets up breaks and breaks down serving lines (salad bar, hot food, ala carte, etc)
Operates French fryer, cash register.
Counts money, makes change, and completes related reports.
Serves meals to students and staff.
Requisitions supplies as needed from main kitchen.
Ability to properly weigh and measure both solid and liquid ingredients.
Possess knowledge and ability for time and temperature control.
Ability to ensure proper food presentation and standard portion control.
Reports inferior quality of food or faulty equipment to the appropriate authority.
Maintains production records; records what is sent to each kitchen.
Safely and efficiently, operate and work around commercial food preparation equipment.
