Description:
The Literacy Intern is responsible for ensuring a high quality classroom library is available for all K-8 students within UNO's 11 elementary schools. To accomplish this, the Intern will work closely with the Academic Strategy Intern and the Coordinator of Policy and Protocol to create master inventory sheets complete with title names, authors, guided reading levels, genre, quantity, condition, and location of all classroom library books. Due to the type of projects the Intern will be engaging in, work can be completed off-site with check-ins and meetings conducted remotely.
Core Responsibilities:
Compile accurate book information for over 20,000 titles
Assist in the planning and execution of a volunteer event
Support the Academic Strategy Intern on related tasks as necessary.

Qualifications:
Experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
Experience working with Excel
Knowledge of children¡¦s literature
Experience with database maintenance
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field preferred

Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
