The job of Custodian II is done for the purpose/s of maintaining an attractive, sanitary and safe facility for
students, staff and public; providing equipment and furniture arrangements for meetings, classroom
activities and events and minimizing property damage, loss and liability exposure.
Assists in sanitation control, security and safety hazards for the purpose of ensuring that the site is
suitable for safe operations, maintained in an attractive and clean condition, and/or identifying
necessary repairs due to vandalism, equipment breakage, weather conditions, etc.
Cleans classrooms, cafeterias, hallways, restrooms, offices, special area rooms, locker rooms, sidewalks
and other areas as they are assigned for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe and attractive
Empties trash receptacles for the purpose of maintaining a clean and sanitary facility.
Moves furniture and equipment for the purpose of cleaning around that area.
Reports safety hazards and needs for major repairs to supervisor for the purpose of identifying necessary
repairs due to vandalism, equipment breakage, weather conditions, etc.
Responsible for building security for the purpose of minimizing property damage, equipment loss and
potential liability to organization.
Sweeps dusts, vacuums, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary,
safe and attractive environment.
Washes windows, walls, woodwork and other equipment for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary,
clean, and attractive facility.
