The Genesee Early College teacher is responsible for leading the instructional program and implementing activities for high school students. The teacher serves as an instructional and decision-making member of the Genesee Early College team and is responsible for meeting the unique needs of students in the assigned area.
Genesee Early College is located on the campus of the University of Michigan - Flint.
One (1) full-time English/Social Studies teaching position

Genesee Intermediate Education Association membership
Bachelor's degree required. Full-time position requires valid Michigan teacher certificate in secondary education, with an endorsement to teach Social Studies (RX or CX) and an endorsement to teach English (BX).
Part-time social studies teacher requires valid Michigan teacher certificate in secondary education, with an endorsment to teach social studies (RX or CX).
Part-time English teacher requires valid Michigan teacher certificate in secondary education, with an endorsement to teach English (BX).
Candidates must meet requirements for highly qualified teacher as specified in No Child Left Behind. Master's degree in content area preferred.
Three or more years of successful teaching experience with diverse, underserved high school students preferred.
