Description:
Teach grade 4. Applicant must be a dynamic and student centered teacher with a commitment to ensuring all students succeed at their highest level and willing to work as a team member, sharing students for flexible instruction. Should have knowledge of and experience with differentiated teaching methods for both gifted and special needs students. Demonstrated commitment to partnerships with families and our community. Commitment to teaching and learning that occurs beyond the classroom in outdoor education. Willing to dedicate the time and energy to meeting our school's goals, related to the Long Range Strategic Plan and Common Core State Standards.
Job Summary:
Perform all of the duties of an intermediate grade teacher including teaching the district curriculum and state standards, maintaining and analyzing assessment data to inform teaching, being on district curriculum committees, collaborating with team members, facilitating a partnership with parents and community organizations and adding to the culture of the school as a learning community. Must be willing to work as a team member using our flexible grouping plan for instruction.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated successful teaching experience bringing all students to their highest achievement levels. Demonstrated successful collaboration with team members to create a professional learning community. Montana Elementary Teaching Certificate or eligible for certification by the start of the 2012-2013 school year.
