DESCRIPTION:
Performs activities related to the general cleanup,
maintenance, and management of District grounds, paved areas, and
equipment. This includes snow removal, signage, trash removal,
tree and shrub maintenance, mowing, etc.
Salary:
Classified Grade L - $15.73 per hour, 8 hours per day,
Monday through Friday. This is a temporary position May 8,
2012 through October 19, 2012. Not eligible for benefits.
DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ability to
operate a truck, sweeper, tractor, and mowers.
·
Ability to
operate various power and hand tools, including edgers, shovels,
welding equipment, painting equipment, tree trimming equipment,
and sprayers.
·
Ability to lift
and carry heavy weights (up to 75 pounds) on a daily basis.
·
Ability to carry
weights up ladders, and to carry and manipulate heavy materials
at height.
·
Ability to push
or pull heavy weights (up to 100 pounds) on a regular basis.
·
Ability to grasp
and finely manipulate hand and power tools.
·
Ability to work
with hands above shoulder height with up to 25 pounds.
·
Ability to work
with arms extended at shoulder height with up to 25 pounds.
·
Must be able to
pass a post offer, pre-employment physical.
·
Must be able to
pass a Colorado and Federal Bureau of Investigation background
check.
QUALIFICATIONS:
·
High School
diploma or the equivalent.
·
Valid Colorado
Driver's License
·
Bilingual
(English/Spanish) skills helpful.
REQUIRED
EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least one year of grounds maintenance experience in
the last five years.
