Notice of Job Vacancy (.875 FTE) GSRP-CDA ASSISTANT CDA CERTIFIED CUMBERLAND ES

Location:  Cumberland ES                                             Starting Date:  ASAP

           

                                                            Work Days per Week:   5 days (33 weeks)

 

                                                                                     Hours per Week: 35 hours (7 hours per day)

 

Salary: Per appropriate placement                                 Bargaining Unit:  L.E.A.

on the LEA master agreement

 

Qualifications Required:                                            

1.             Applicant must have ONE of the following:  a) Child Development Associate credential

(CDA), b) an Associate of Arts in early childhood/preschool education or child development, or c) 120 clock hours of documented formal child care education by an approved training organization and approved by the Michigan Department of Education.

2.         Demonstrated experience in early childhood development.

3.         Ability to interact successfully with children, parents, and all program personnel.

4.         Willing and able to be trained in a developmental curriculum.

5.             Ability to pass English, reading, and math competency tests.

6.             Must have excellent attendance.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1.             To assist the classroom teacher and program in sharing of developmental materials and

curriculum information with children and parents.
