1.0 FTE (School Year Position)
The English Teaching position requires, but is not limited to the following:
Wisconsin Certification #300 - English.
Wisconsin Certification #316 - Reading.
Wisconsin Certification #320 - Speech (Preferred).
Must be trained to teach Advanced Placement English courses (if not, must acquire necessary training).
Strong experience and/or training in reading and writing strategies.
Ability to differentiate the curriculum to meet the academic needs of all students assigned.
Ability to forge positive relationships with the parents / guardians of students.
Ability to work collegially with English department staff, Student Services, Administration, the faculty, and the community as needed.
Candidate must successfully obtain and implement READ 180 Training.
Ability to facilitate student / parent / teacher meetings as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
