Position Summary:

Primary responsibilities include preparation of food, meal service, clean-up and record keeping at a production kitchen for meals served to students, adults and staff during summer meal programs in accordance with USDA Child Nutrition Programs and local guidelines.  May include transportation of food and operation of computerized point-of-sale program. 

Requirements:

Current ISD 761 employee.  High school diploma or general education degree (GED).  Certification required at Level 1, as recognized by the School Nutrition Association.  Minimum of one year previous experience as a cook in school food service.  Ability to follow oral and written instructions.  Ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds.    


Other Skills and Abilities:

Basic math skills including computer applications experience.  Demonstrated organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills.  Must be able to relate effectively with students and staff.

Schedule:

June 18 – July 19, 2012

4 days per week (Mon-Thurs) / Hours are varied between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. 

Classification/Pay Rate:

A-1-3 / $11.36-$13.96 per hour
