Position:
Administrative Teacher on Special Assignment
(TOSA) at Grandview Elementary. Starting August
6, 2012. Must hold a Colorado
Teaching or Administrative License.
Salary range:
$32,620 - $50,848 based on education and work
experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
Valid Colorado Teaching License or Administrative License
Minimum of three years direct experience with teaching and/or
Administrative Experience
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work
cooperatively with parents, students and staff
Demonstrated effective organizational and communication
skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitors daily routines such as attendance and tardiness, orderly
behavior, and adherence to the student and district
handbooks.

Assists and supports teachers with student attendance, student
conduct, Positive Behavior Intervention Support, as well as
classroom and instructional support.
·
Communicates with parents regarding attendance and tardiness,
student conduct and general well-being at school and promotes
parental involvement.
·
Maintains accurate records regarding student behavioral
issues.
·
Addresses daily facility issues.
·
Promotes and implements student activities, clubs, etc. that
assists students in developing a rapport with their school.
·
Participates in activities that enhance the community's knowledge
and understanding of the school's mission and goals.
·
Assists in the dissemination of information regarding school and
district programs, policies and procedures to parents, staff and
community.
·
Coordinates the development, maintenance and distribution of
student-parent handbooks and similar literature.
·
Assists with the supervisory responsibilities of student
activities, programs,

orientation, and other activities.
·
Provides documentation and recommendation to school principal
regarding suspensions and expulsions of students.
·
Attends Board meetings and district committee meetings as
needed.
·
Supports the principal and other school decision-making bodies in
building level decisions and initiatives, implementation of RTI,
and professional development.
·
Assists principal in preparing district and state reports.
·
Assists principal in preparing the building master and duty
schedule.
·
Completes other tasks as assigned by the Principal,
Superintendent, or Board of Education.
SALARY: Determined by placement on salary schedule as approved by
the Board of Education.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Building Principal
EVALUATION: As specified in Policy GCOA and appropriate rules and
procedures.
