Position Title: Committee on Special Education Chair(full-time equivalency: .60)


Brief Description:            Schedule and chair CSE meetings, finalize IEPs, and perform follow-up tasks connected with CSE recommendations. Work closely with the special education department chair, school counselors, special education teachers and related service providers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with IEP Direct and School Tool. Strong organizational, communication and collaboration skills. Strong work ethic. Knowledge of federal and state special education regulations. Experience as a CSE Chair preferred.


  • Possession of (or proof of eligibility for) New York State certification in Special Education or Students with Disabilities (for appropriate grade level yet to be determined), School Psychologist or related field. If applicant holds and out-of-state certificate, you must have applied for the New York State certification.

Minimum Salary:             $36,268 (2011-2012 full-time base)
