Position Title: Secondary Special Education Teachers (full-time equivalency: Up to 10.0)


Brief Description:            Provide special education services (resource room, consultant teacher and integrated co-teaching) to students with disabilities at the secondary level. Duties include but are not limited to, writing IEPs, attending CSE meetings, communicating with staff and families, and assessing students.

Required Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with IEP Direct an asset. Strong organization, communication and collaboration skills. Supportive of inclusion.


  • Possession of (or proof of eligibility for) New York State certification in Special Education or Students with Disabilities (for appropriate grade level yet to be determined). If applicant holds and out-of-state certificate, you must have applied for the New York State certification.

Minimum Salary:               $36,268 (2011-2012 full-time base)
