Position Title

Cheerleading Advisor/Coach
Summary
:
Assist in advising, training, and leading the
cheerleaders and allowing them to function as an effective
team in promoting school spirit at athletic events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
:
· Assists in t
he direction, supervision and the sequential
training of the cheerleaders.
· Responsible for the
conduct of the cheerleaders at practice sessions and at all
contests.
· Assists in leading and
directing the cheerleaders to encourage good sportsmanship by
example and leadership.
· Models respect and good
sportsmanship to the students and the community
· Assists in
creating an energetic public relations program for the
cheerleaders and their activities.
· Assists in the
maintenance of uniforms and supplies.
· Assists
in supervision to enable the cheerleaders to carry out all
the duties set forth in constitution.
· Assists
in conducting a two-week clinic for tryouts of
cheerleaders in the spring of the year and arranges for all
judges for the tryouts.
· Assists
in ordering and issuing awards to deserving
cheerleaders.
· Assists in
fundraising as needed.
· Assits in any other
duties relating to cheerleaders as may be directed by the
athleticdirector, building administrator, or head
coach.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
:
Varsity coaching experience preferred.
