Job summary: Performs a wide variety of duties related to the Building Repair Department. Successful candidate must have basic knowledge of the installation and repair of VCT floor tile, ceramic and quarry tile, exterior and interior wood replacement, t-bar ceiling grid and tile, wood or metal stud framing, wood or metal doors and frames, hang and finish sheetrock. Ability to perform rough and finish carpentry, masonry and plaster repairs would be beneficial. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work as a member of a team. Frequent lifting of 20-50 pounds and occasional lifting of 50-100 pounds is required. Must be willing to work second shift August thru May and must obtain a Class 1 Asbestos certificate upon employment. Snow removal operations and occasionally working overtime is required. A valid Kansas Drivers license is required at all times throughout employment.
