JOB PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position performs preventative maintenance in a specific building or groups of buildings. Incumbent must have current Texas Operators Drivers License in possession at all times while operating AISD vehicles on public streets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
*Performs preventive maintenance program for comforts control. Starts, stops, and checks heating and/or air conditioning equipment.
*Performs routine inspections of the filters, pumps, boiler and other equipment directly related to comport control.
*Performs routine maintenance of the building such as glass installation, adjustment of door closers; tightening screws,
bolts, lockers, changes, washers, unstopping commodes, sinks, and condenser pipers; replaces switch and outlet cover plates;
resets electrical panel breakers; and assists maintenance personnel in the building.
*Routine workload permitting will assist maintenance crews working in buildings with foreman’s approval.
*Perform other related duties as assigned; however, all employees are expected to comply with lawful directives in rare situations
driven by need where a team effort is required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
This position requires ten (10) to twelve (12) years of school or equivalent with knowledge of specialized field.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of one (1) year of related experience.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
This position requires incumbent to have the ability to foresee danger signals in equipment, and to be able to follow oral and written instructions.
DUTY DAYS: 260 DAYS
SALARY: MT6: $12.101 - $15.127/hr
Salary determination will be based on documented experience.
