TITLE:

High School Project Manager

DEPARTMENT:

Teaching & Learning

REPORTS TO:

Assistant Superintendent for Learning Services

OVERALL DESCRIPTION:

The High School Project Manager is responsible for providing leadership in the development, management, coordinating and support of curriculum, instruction, and professional learning
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         To provide teacher leadership in the development, management, implementation and support of high school curriculum development, resource selection, assessment design, and professional learning.
·         Plan and facilitate various curriculum committees
·         Knowledgeable about curriculum design, assessment design, and instructional practices
·         Facilitate the selection of core resources and support teachers with instructional implementation of core resources
·         Plans and facilitates professional development in partnership with teacher leaders and administrators under the direction of Learning Services administrators
·         Utilize data for program evaluation and program design to facilitate curriculum development, assessment development, or professional learning for enhanced instructional practices
·         Assist individuals in the assimilation of District curricular programs as well as the identification and development of unique programs that address the needs of students
·         Support the implementation of the recommendations of the District K-12 curriculum development committees
·         Serve as a planning, facilitating and problem solving resource to a variety of individuals and groups
·         Serve as a communication link to a variety of groups within and outside of the organization
·         .Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Holds a valid Illinois Teaching Certificate Type 09
·         Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience at the high school level
·         Demonstrates leadership in curriculum development, assessment design and implementation, and professional learning
·         Administrative certification preferred but not required
·         Intensive planning and follow-through as well as exceptional interpersonal skills and knowledge of curriculum are essential to the fulfillment of the responsibilities of the position.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Teaching Contract with 10 days extended employment established annually by the Board of Education.  Benefits per board policy
