The Panama-Buena Vista Union School District announces an opening for an Account Clerk II. This is a twelve-month position. The Account Clerk II will work under the direct supervision of the Accounting Manager and the general supervision of the Director of Fiscal Services and the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services.
Description:
May be responsible for any or all of the following activities or similarly related jobs: prepare and process commercial warrants; gather, tabulate and proofread statistical and financial data; keep various financial or statistical records requiring the use of independent judgment; collect and account for money; post, check, balance and adjust accounts; schedule and file bills, vouchers, documents and other material; perform inventory counts; make arithmetical calculations and check various statistical and accounting tables and reports; keep subsidiary ledgers; accumulate records and compile statements; assist in preparing accounting and statistical reports; reconcile bank statements; enter data into the general ledger system through a remote data entry terminal; maintain a regular filing system for confidential information; maintain and file all records of the District required by law to be prepared or retained; respect confidentiality of office information; perform other duties as requested; maintain successful working relationships.
Qualifications:
High school education or equivalent; extensive experience in financial transaction processing and reporting; ability to operate office equipment; type 40 net words per minute; satisfactory score on the District Account Clerk screening test; experience with data entry applications, spreadsheets, and word processing software; ability to maintain successful working relationships.
Salary and Terms of Service:
Salary range (30) $2,783.70 to $3,412.11 per month, 8 steps. Work schedule 5 days per week, 8 hours per day. Holidays, sick leave and vacation benefits. The District currently contributes to family dental, medical, and vision insurance plans and an employee only life insurance plan.

Selection Procedure:
