Falls Church City Public Schools is
seeking a full time Elementary Gifted Specialist to serve
Kindergarten through Second Grade students.
Education and Experience
:
·
Three to Five years of elementary teaching
experience - working with the gifted students preferred
·
Possess at least a B.A./B.S. degree
·
Have met the Virginia Department of
Education requirements to hold a Virginia Teaching License
with a Gifted Education endorsement
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
:
·
Demonstrates effective classroom delivery of
gifted curriculum through a collaborative model
·
Articulates differentiated curriculum,
instruction and assessment design and delivery
·
Works
collaboratively with general education,
ESOL, Special Education teachers, and specialists
·
Communicates with parents and staff
regarding the Gifted Education Plan goals, processes and program
of services
·
Ability to interpret test data and use to
plan instruction
·
Willingness to attend and participate in the
Gifted Advisory Committee meetings
