AVAILABLE POSITION
1.0 FTE teacher on special
assignment as IBMYP coordinator
Robbinsdale Middle School
Teachers' contract beginning
August 27, 2012 with possible extended days in June and
August to conduct MYP Professional Development activities as
needed
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
·
Assist departments and
grade levels in aligning district curriculum, instruction and
assessments to the MYP international standards and
requirements
·
Provide continuous feedback
to teachers on how to improve the quality of MYP requirements
such as unit planners, classroom assessments, etc.
·
Monitor the implementation
fidelity of MYP across the school and provide professional
development as needed
·
Monitor instructional
practices as they relate to MYP standards and provide
professional development as needed
·
Prepare for all aspects of
IB evaluation visits as needed
·
Communicate with parents,
students, principals, teachers
·
Schedule and hold meetings
with various stakeholder groups as needed
·
Provide tours and
orientation as needed
·
Work collaboratively within
the district's K-12 continuum
·
Serve as a participant in
IB coordinator collegial meetings/seminars in the metro area and
beyond to remain current with IB standards and
requirements
·
Plan for and schedule
out-of-state professional development sessions for
teachers
·
Provide in-depth
orientation on MYP standards and requirements for all new
teachers
·
Manage the school's MYP
budget
·
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
·
Teacher licensure with a minimum
of least five years of teaching experience; Master's degree
and/or additional certification/coursework preferred.
