REQUIREMENTS:
· BA or BS degree (preferred)
· Previous experience working with At-Risk youth
· Demonstrated ability to work with diverse cultural and socio-economic student population
· Evidence of strong relationship skills
· Ability to foster communication and problem-solving between professional staff, At-Risk students and parents
THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE A COMMITMENT TO:
· Directing services with At-Risk students
· Assisting with student supervision
· Working closely with students, families and school staff
· Willingness to make home visits
· Monitoring and coordinating efforts for student class work between the guidance department, teaching staff and the students
· Monitoring and coordinating an Academic Success Plan for identified At-Risk students
· Knowledge/use of technology related to job requirements
· Coordinating homework/activities for suspended and/or expelled students
· Working with At-Risk students in non-academic settings (i.e. intramurals, clubs, after school programming)
· Monitoring attendance/truancy matters and following up with parents/students
· Working with requesting community agencies
· Willingness to work evenings
SALARY: Commensurate with Experience
