RESPONSIBILITIES
:
·
Assume the
responsibility for the delivery of
health care to
Students with multiple disabilities
including
significant physical and medical
needs
·
Provide relevant health counseling and
guidance to school age children
·
Implement all federal, state and local
screening mandates and laws
·
Assist in planning the health care of the
special needs students by developing individual health care
plans and coordinating the various services available
·
Participate in professional
activities/workshops
·
Float to other schools as determined by
needs
REMUNERATION
:
·
Appropriate step on the
salary scale for nurses
QUALIFICATIONS
:
·
Graduate of an accredited
School of Nursing currently
licensed
to practice in the State of
Connecticut
·
Experience in
school setting as a Registered Nurse
within the 5
years immediately prior to
employment.
Experience in tracheotomy care is
preferred
Education: 12 Academic credits of higher learning
beyond the
preparation in Nursing. Bachelor of Science
preferred. Current
CPR
required.
