QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold, or be eligible to hold, a certificate
issued by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board with
an endorsement as an elementary teacher, and candidates
must
be highly qualified under NCLB. Other desired
qualifications include: Ability to teach in a school with
no other teachers and only one student (a 3
<sup>rd</sup>
grader); ability to teach a core reading program; strong
background in teaching math and science; ability and willingness
to provide instruction in art, music, and PE when necessary;
ability and willingness to use data to make decisions about
instruction; creative; energetic; sense of humor; love of
children; organized; ability and willingness to initiate and
participate in outdoor activities and field trips; and a strong
technology background.
DESCRIPTION:
Jeffrey City is
located approximately 60 miles from Lander. This position
will teach one third grade student. The District will
provide a vehicle for the teacher to drive to and from Lander to
Jeffrey City each day.
