QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold, or be eligible to hold, a Wyoming teaching
certificate with a special education endorsement and be "highly
qualified" under NCLB. It is desired that candidates be
endorsed in special education mathematics, language arts, or
reading. Other desired qualifications include:
Ability to work well with middle school students; background
working with middle school students; strong knowledge of special
education rules and regulations; ability to help students meet
IEP goals; ability to work well with other teachers, staff, and
parents; ability to supervise paraprofessionals; flexible;
organized; takes initiative; computer skilled; experience with
(or ability to learn) Special Forces IEP management software and
Infinite Campus; and is enthusiastic about working with high
school students.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This full inclusion/resource teacher will work with students with
special needs in the regular education setting and study skills
classrooms. This teacher will be required to modify
classroom assignments, create modifications, team--teach, write
IEPs, attend IEP meetings, and work with regular education staff
to help differentiate instruction for IEP students in the regular
education setting.
