The Council Bluffs Community School District is seeking applicants for the following teaching position for the 2012-2013 school year:
Elementary Vocal Music Teacher

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Iowa teacher license with K-8 Music Endorsement
Preferred knowledge of or experience in using the Kodaly and Orf methods of music instruction.
QUALIFICATIONS/CHARACTERISTICS DESIRED:
· Expertise in effective teaching strategies
· Keyboarding skills
· Willingness to conduct an elementary choir for performance purposes
· Ability to motivate students to sing
· Respect, understand and concern for the child
· Strong interpersonal communication skills for working with students, staff and parents
· Effective human relationship skills
· Commitment to student learning
· Good classroom management skills
