Skill, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
1. Must have at a minimum a bachelor's degree with a current teaching certificate
2. Previous experience with adult education is recommended
3. Must have expertise in using Smart Technologies, Microsoft Office, Course Management System and other district supported classroom technologies
4. Must be able to work independently as well as an instructional team member
5. Should enjoy researching new technologies for classroom instructional practice and effectively present solutions to teachers
Primary Function:
Coaches will spend time in the digital classroom co-teaching, modeling, and mentoring classroom teachers in order to integrate technology into the learning environment
Typical Duties:
1. Model and co-teach with 6th grade classroom teachers to support engaged learning in the digital instructional setting
2. Collaborate with middle school principals to find opportunities to work with teachers in a variety of venues
3. Provide district, school, and individual professional development to teachers with a focus on middle school
4. Assist in the development and sustainment of a district-wide student 1:1 digital conversion with focus on 6th grade implementation
5. Introduce, recommend, and assist with current/future curricular hardware & software
6. Assist with implementation and training of Mastery Manager assessment digital tool
Compensation:
Per 2012-2013 Certified Salary Schedule once ratified
