OPENING
JOB TITLE:
ROYAL OAK HIGH SCHOOL
Freshman Boys Basketball Coach
(Season runs tentatively from November 2012 - March
2013)
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.
Minimum, HS Diploma or equivalent
2.
18 years or older
3.
Basic knowledge of the rules, regulations and
fundamentals of the sport
4.
Experience coaching basketball preferred
5.
Experience working with high school age
students preferred
6.
Expected availability for practices or games
(Monday - Friday 3:30 - 7:00 p.m. and on occasion
Saturdays)
7.
Game days must be available until 10:00
p.m.
8.
Strong organizational skills
9.
Able to communicate both orally and in writing
with parents, administration, students and the athletic
staff
10.
Ability to take direction from the head
coach
JOB SUMMARY:
1.
Instructing students in the game of
basketball
2.
Carrying out the rules of the M.H.S.A.A. and
the Royal Oak School District
3.
Teaching students the importance of team
work
4.
Maintaining inventory and caring for team
uniforms and equipment
5.
Other duties as assigned
SALARY:
Appropriate placement on ROEA Supplemental Schedule B

Athletic Director and Building Principal
