Position Summary:


Performs duties related to field-based leadership in assisting Title I schools with coordination between supplemental Title programs and the regular student offerings, alternative program strategies, professional development, exemplary program status, program improvement, use of evaluation results and curricular interventions

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists Title I Planning teams and staff in identifying effective instructional strategies to improve student achievement
  • Assists Title I Planning teams and staff in identifying effective evaluation tools to measure on-going student achievement
  • Conducts professional training involving school reform efforts for Title I Staff and supports their school-based training efforts
  • Assists Title I schools in the coordination of the Title I Plan and School Improvement Plans (NI-status), Corrective Action Addendums, System School Improvement Plans, Parent Involvement policies and Schoolwide Application Plans
  • Assists in the annual evaluation of the Title I instructional program
  • Coordinates and monitors the tutorial programs for neglected students
  • Coordinates and monitors services for Title I Private school students to include private school meaningful consultation meetings and private school equitable participation
  • Collaborates with Title I school leadership team, technology team and school improvement committee to research and implement best practices to align strategies and increase student achievement
  • Coordinates and monitors Title I Summer Camp for Title I students
  • Assists grant manger with budget reviews and pre-approvals of federal expenditures
  • Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the grant administrator

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred


Experience:

  • Minimum of three years successful classroom teaching experience in a Title I school within the last six years required


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of federal grant regulations and compliance guidelines preferred
  • Must have professional knowledge and proven use of effective teaching strategies and professional knowledge of curriculum-based assessments
  • Strong desire to work with at-risk students and developing teachers
  • High technological skill level required with experience with Shared Documents, Excel, Microsoft Office, SAMS, eSchoolPlus
  • Proficiency in website management
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to work with personal and confidential information
  • Must be able to successfully manage multiple tasks, projects, and responsibilities
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills in rendering solutions to various issues
  • Must be able to collaborate effectively with District and school personnel, the general public, and work with diverse groups of people


Certification:

  • Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate required; Leadership Certification preferred; Must be willing to acquire additional training as directed by manager
