Major duties and responsibilities
The successful candidate
will:
·
have experience as a school-based
administrator, including evidence of leadership to improve
instruction;
·
have at least three years teaching
experience and a demonstrable record of transformational
leadership, high student achievement and commitment to
excellence;
·
have established a strong record of
accomplishments as an instructional leader at the elementary
level, outstanding interpersonal communication and collaboration
skills; and the ability to involve all constituents in the
process of continuous growth;
·
have proven experience with
data-informed decision making, achievement gap initiates, school
improvement plans, assessment, academic standards, and leading
communities with a focus on student achievement;
·
consistently monitor student
achievement progress, focusing on tangible improvements/results,
and has successfully led the staff to do as well;
·
have a strong theoretical and
practical understanding of a response-to-intervention framework
of instructional services to meet the needs of all learners
through evidence-based practices, regular progress monitoring,
intervention planning, and professional development
·
supervise and evaluate faculty/staff
with a strong understanding of what evidence-based instructional
practice looks like in the classroom;
·
have a wide variety of skills and
experiences to lead successfully in a shared decision-making
culture;
·
provide leadership for cultural
competency in the school community; native Spanish fluency
preferred.
·
demonstrate the instructional and
administrative capacity for the integration and uses of
technology to improve teaching and learning;
·
be a team player, promoting district
and school programs that enhance the effectiveness of the
district's leadership team;
·
establish and maintain active
relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community;
·
engage in dialogue with other
decision-makers to improve teaching and learning
Qualifications

Holds Illinois Administrative
Endorsement Type 75
·
Native Spanish fluency (preferred)
·
Building-level administrative
experience
·
Minimum of
3 years teaching experience
·
Evidence of consistent use of data
to inform instructional decision making
·
Working knowledge of school
improvement process
·
Collaborative and dynamic leadership
style
