Wayne RESA
seeks a consultant to coordinate and provide technical assistance
and professional development to eligible buildings to support
local district and school improvement efforts.
Position:
The
successful candidate will:
·
Provide
consulting and coordination in delivering the MDE Statewide
System of Support for identified schools, including but not
limited to the provision of technical assistance and professional
development activities to eligible schools
·
Provide
consulting and coordinate activities related to School
Improvement Facilitators and School Support Teams
·
Provide
leadership to identified schools and districts in school and
district improvement
·
Provide training
and support related to Michigan School Improvement Framework
·
Facilitate the
implementation of the Michigan Department for Education Statewide
System Support
·
Coordination and
collaboration with Statewide System of Support partners including
Michigan Department of Education, Michigan State University,
Calhoun ISD, and Wayne RESA
·
Serve as member
of service coordination team in allocating and monitoring
coaching and professional development support to identified
buildings
·
Provide
leadership in school improvement, curriculum, instruction, staff
development, and technology integration related to SAS
requirements and funding
·
Keep abreast of
new developments, requirements, processes and trends in school
and district improvement
·
Carry out the
functions of this position within the direction provided by the
Wayne RESA mission and goals and School Achievement Services'
goals and objectives
·
Work in
collaboration with other Wayne RESA staff to ensure client needs
are met in the most efficient and effective manner
·
Participate as
an active team member in organizational projects as assigned
·
Perform other
duties as assigned
Qualifications:
·
Master's degree
required
·
Teacher
Certification in K-12 core content area required
·
Minimum three
(3) years teaching experience in K-12 core content area
required
·
Demonstrated
experience in urban school setting required
·
Demonstrated
skill and recent experience in school and/or district improvement
required
·
Demonstrated
knowledge of Michigan School Improvement Framework required
·
Demonstrated
consultation, training, group facilitation and process skills
required
·
Demonstrated
skill working with diverse populations required
·
Demonstrated
listening, verbal and written communication skills required
·
Demonstrated
problem solving and team building skills required
·
Demonstrated
ability to integrate emerging forms of technology into
professional activities
required
Compensation:
Current WCSSF 11-Month Salary Schedule - Grade M ($66,607-$93,855
FY)
