JOB SUMMARY
: Reports to the high school Principal or designee.
The Auditorium Manager shall
perform other related duties as directed by the high school
Principal or designee and/or the Superintendent or
designee. Supervises district employees, student groups and
volunteers as their work relates specifically to the
auditorium. Shall coordinate the scheduled use of the
auditorium to enhance the educational and cultural program of the
district and the community and ensure that the facility is
maintained in a clean, safe, attractive, comfortable and
efficient manner. Must be able to work with computer
software. Must be able to perform detail-oriented work
requiring a high level of accuracy while working with
computerized records. Must manage facility use and preparation
and setup for events. Tasks include assisting in setup and
preparation for use, providing instruction in the safe use of
equipment, preparing the sound system, setting and focusing
lighting, providing training in the use of the stage manager's
console, preparing front of house (e.g., lobby, ticket office),
arranging for additional equipment as needed, arranging for
preparation of the orchestra pit, advising and consulting with
users on possibilities for enhancing their events in the
auditorium, scheduling personnel to assist in the use of the
facility, supervising tech crew, monitoring events to assure
safety and appropriate use and responding to unforeseen and
emergency needs of users. Must maintain the auditorium and
its equipment in good working order. Tasks include repairing or
replacing worn out, unsafe or damaged equipment, scheduling
preventive and routine maintenance, maintaining an adequate
supply of specialized consumables such as lighting gels,
purchasing new capital equipment using correct funds and
scheduling inspections to maintain compliance with state safety
codes.

LIFICATIONS:

A two year or
four-year degree in theater/arts management or a related field
and one to three years' experience in facility management for
theatrical productions is desired.
Additional applicable
experience may be substituted for formal education.
