Wayne RESA
seeks a consultant to coordinate and assist in implementing
programs to ensure Wayne county schools and districts are ready
to succeed and be successful using school improvement as their
model for improving.
Position:
The
successful candidate will:
·
Provide
consulting and coordinate activities related to school
improvement including:
PA25, 335, 339 particularly the
accreditation process, curriculum development, school
organization and restructuring, leadership development, ESEA,
EdYES, MI-SAS, data profile, One Voice-One Plan, comprehensive
needs assessments, and State and Federal Programs

Provide
leadership to local schools and districts in school and district
improvement and State and Federal Programs
·
Develop
and implement short and long range goals and objectives that
support both school and district improvement
·
Provide
training and support for school and district improvement that
meets the Michigan Department of Education requirements in school
improvement and technology
·
Organize,
plan and conduct professional development sessions, training
programs, and conferences for local schools/districts
·
Keep
abreast of new developments, advancements, and trends in school
and district improvement and State and Federal Programs
·
Facilitate
planning with local school districts in the areas of grant
resources, school improvement and increasing student
achievement
·
Advise
districts and provide assistance in the initiation, evaluation,
and improvement processes of programs with particular reference
to the requirements and plans of the State Board of Education
·
Assist
districts with requests for grant monies in conjunction with
program criteria and recommend modifications.
·
Keep
current with State and Federal laws and regulations to support
districts in writing district plans
·
Network
with various groups to receive feedback to ensure efficient and
effective operations and services
·
Carry out
the functions of this position within the direction provided by
Wayne RESA mission and goals and Instructional Services' goals
and objectives
·
Work in
collaboration with other Wayne RESA staff to ensure client needs
are met in the most efficient and effective manner
·
Participate as an active team member in organizational
projects
·
Perform
other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
·
Master's
degree required
·
Michigan
teacher certification required
·
Minimum
three (3) years K-12 teaching experience required
·
Demonstrated skill and experience in school and district
improvement required
·
Demonstrated skill and experience in State and Federal programs
required
·
Demonstrated consultation, training, group facilitation and
process skills required
·
Demonstrated ability to integrate technology into best practices
required
·
Demonstrated skill working with diverse populations required
·
Demonstrated problem solving and team building skills
required
·
Demonstrated ability to meet stringent deadlines required
·
Demonstrated listening, verbal, and written communication skills
required
Compensation:
Current WCSSF 11-Month Salary Schedule - Grade M ($66,607-$93,855
FY)
