Network Analyst

Wayne RESA seeks an analyst to plan, install, maintain, and provide problem-solving services for network, network security, server management and data communication systems.

 

Position:

The successful candidate will:

  • Design, test, and evaluate systems such as local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), the Internet, intranets and other data communication systems
  • Serve as a team member for the implementation, configuration, monitoring and maintenance of network security system including hardware and software components of such systems
  • Serve as a team member for the planning, implementation, configuration, monitoring and maintenance of VMware, Windows and Linux operating systems.
  •   Serve as a team member for the planning, implementation, configuration, monitoring and maintenance of the Storage Area Network
  • Serve as a team member for the implementation, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, backup and recovery of servers that support the work of Computer Services and Computer Service clients including both hardware and software components of such systems
  • Perform site inspections, network modeling, analysis and planning for technology implementation
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts for equipment serviced
  • Monitor network and server performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

·          Minimum of an associate's degree required, preferably in a technology-related field; or 60 college credit hours and network certification

  • Minimum of four (4) years experience in network, server management, computer hardware, or network security systems required
  • Experience and training required in:

o   Computer architecture concepts

o   Demonstrated skills in configuring Cisco routers and switches  

o   Windows Server configuration, monitoring and trouble shooting

o   Windows and Mac environments

o   Network design and implementation

o   VMware configuration and monitoring

  • CISCO certification desired
  • Ability to travel extensively required
  • Demonstrated listening, verbal and written communication skills required
  • Demonstrated skill working with diverse populations required

 

Compensation:   Current WCSSF 12-Month Salary Schedule - Track 4 ($58,292-$82,139 FY)
