Web/Multimedia Developer
Internal/External
Wayne RESA seeks a Web/Multimedia Developer to act as web master
(primary or secondary) for Wayne RESA and other associated
websites; provide multimedia development and support services for
internal RESA and district clients; provide technical support for
on-line professional development.
Position:
The
successful candidate will:

Develop,
support, document and monitor videostreaming services; document
and monitor program modifications to multimedia and instructional
technology applications
·
Design and
maintain Wayne RESA website and social media presence
·
Provide
multi-media development and production services, up-to-date
technology information and professional development activities
for WC RESA and local district staff
·
Provide
operational and hardware support for presentation, instructional
technology and streaming media systems for Wayne RESA on- and
off-site
·
Provide
operational support for multimedia services and applications
·
Serve as
liaison with school districts, communication vendors, &
special partnership, representing Wayne RESA at the local, state,
and national level
·
Produce
original Wayne RESA multi-media content
·
Consult
with districts regarding the implementation of STEM instructional
tool and strategies such as multi-media, geospatial technologies
(G.I.S./remote sensing), CAD and 3d modeling in instruction
·
Keep
abreast of latest advancement, trends and practices in
multi-media and G.I.S./CAD telecommunication, television and
other related technologies as applied in an educational
setting
·
Assist in
monitoring a library of vendor and Wayne RESA supplied
documentation for both hardware and software at RESA
·
Perform
other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
·
Minimum of
an associate's degree required, preferably in a
technology-related field; or 60 college credit hours and related
web or multimedia certification
·
Four (4)
years experience working in website management, or instructional
technology/multimedia applications required
·
Three (3)
years experience performing Web site design required
·
Demonstrated experience in coordinating multi-media, video
production, or web site projects required
·
Demonstrated experience in use of technology to support
instruction and presentation by staff and clients preferred
·
Demonstrated mastery of the following tools and systems:
o
HTML scripting
o
CSS styling
o
Java, PHP, MySQL, XML
o
Database creation and management
o
Content management systems such as Blackboard,
Moodle or Foxbright
o
LMS Content Generation and Application
Management (i.e.: Lectora/CourseMill)
o
Streaming media formats and protocols (h.264,
html5, Flash, Quicktime)
o
Video Encode and transcode procedures
o
Integration of above with mobile technologies
(iPad, iPhone, Droid)
o
Adobe Flash (or comparable) animation
development software
o
Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

Familiarity with multiple server and client operating systems
(Linux, Windows, Apple)
·
Demonstrated ability to manage group dynamics and team-building
required
·
Demonstrated consultation, training, group facilitation and
process skills required
·
Ability to
meet stringent deadlines required
·
Demonstrated ability to integrate emerging forms of technology
into professional activities and public presentations
required
·
Demonstrated
listening, verbal, and written communication skills required
·
Demonstrated skill working with diverse populations required
Compensation:
Current WCSSF 12-Month Salary Schedule - Track 4 ($58,292-$82,139
FY)
