The School District of University City is seeking an outstanding Alternative School Social Studies Teacher to join the Lieberman Learning Center. The successful candidate will be part of a high-energy team comprised of alternative school educators dedicated to continuous educational improvement for each student.
Qualifications: MO 9-12 Social Studies/Social Sciences certification, alternative school teaching experience preferred. The successful candidate will have a clear passion for the work of educating children with diverse academic abilities. Experience and success in implementing strategies to reduce the achievement gap are critical.
Compensation: The School District of University City offers a competitive minimum salary of $37,000, with up-to ten years of salary derivation chart credit given for public school teaching experience. In addition, we offer an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, vision and life insurance, as well as graduate tuition reimbursement. This is a 9-month, exempt position, with an approximate start date of August 7, 2012.
