Qualifications:
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with the JX-Music endorsement required
• Experienced in teaching grades 5-8
• Working knowledge of band and orchestra literature
• working knowledge of instrument pedagogy
• Ability to motivate students
Ensemble Director Responsibilities (4)
• Choose and order music
• Order supplies for the group
• Submit invoices to program administrator
• Run 14 rehearsals
• Conduct concert
Festival Coordinator Responsibilities (1)
• Promote the Summer Music Festival program
• Produce flyers, registration forms and other communications including program
• Process registration and rosters
• Communicate with participants and parents
• Secure festival site
• Order Festival T-Shirts
• Support ensemble directors throughout the festival
Working Conditions:
July 9-12, 2012; Brownell Middle School
Compensation is in accordance with the Master Agreement, Appendix E, Class 1 EPED:
