ASSISTANT
HIGH SCHOOL
PRINCIPAL
The North Ridgeville High School
serves approximately 1,200 students including those attending
the Lorain County Joint Vocation School. The academic
programs are designed to prepare students for college,
technical school, or employment following graduation.
To complete the 23 credits required for graduation, students
may choose from course offerings in Art, Business, Computer
Skills, Family and Consumer Science, English, Foreign
Language, Health and Physical Education, Industrial
Technology, Mathematics, Music, Science and Social
Studies. Special Education, Remedial Assistance and
Vocational Education are also available for students as is a
full range of student services. The High School
administrative team consists of one principal and two
assistant principals.
QUALIFICATIONS
¨
Valid State of Ohio certificate to practice as
high school assistant principal
¨
Five years of teaching and/or administrative
experience
¨
Proven experience in student
relations, staff relations, community relations, curriculum and
instruction, and leadership and organization skills.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
¨
Support, enhance and implement the goals of the
district
¨
Assist in motivating staff members in improving
their skills and educational program
¨
Support and enhance effective student discipline
and attendance policies
¨
Assist in the evaluation of the performance of
teachers
¨
Provide effective communications
with students, staff and community to enhance the image of the
school
CONTRACT YEAR

SALARY
¨
The current salary schedule is
being evaluated based on the current financial limitations of
the school district.
